Tsunami recognition efforts are currently underway in the northern and northeastern districts of Dominica.
This initiative is part of a global effort to ensure that communities are better prepared and more resilient to tsunamis through the “Tsunami Ready” program.
Dominica’s journey to becoming tsunami-ready is being supported by the U.S. Government, with funding provided through the International Tsunami Information Centre.
