Local CXC Registrar Magalie Celestine says non-practical subjects will fall under the new SBA reform.
The Caribbean Examinations Council announced a major shift in its evaluation format.
A full transition from School-Based Assessments to Paper 3/2 exams will take effect for school candidates within the May-June 2028 examination cycle.
Meantime, Celestine says CXC approved this new reform to strengthen the regional examination’s qualification integrity.

Celestine says school candidates will still have a choice between traditional SBAs or the Paper 3/2 option for the May 2027 examination cycle; however, CAPE candidates must complete the Paper 3/2 exams.
