
The Chairperson of the Pointe Michel Village Council, Ronillia Williams is the new President of the Dominica Association of Local Community Authorities (DALCA).
Williams who is also an employee of DBS Radio, emerged winner against the long-standing president of DALCA, Yoland Jno Jules.
The final count was 12-11 in favor of Ronillia Williams.
Williams says the new role serves as an opportunity to give back.

The new chairperson of DALCA says she plans to meet her new executive to discuss how it can effectively execute their roles as members.
She also says council community engagements will be a big part of her new executive’s mandate.
