Businessman Mc Millan James Jno Baptiste has died at the age of 9O.
Mr Jno Baptiste passed at his home on Cross Lane this morning around 9.3O.
He will be remembered for his exploits in business in Dominica, having started at the age of 14 as a baker.
He did a stint in the construction industry and worked with ESSO in the Fondcole area.
He later became a kerosene peddler, reaching customers throughout the Island.
It was that exposure which propelled him into becoming a petrol station retailer.
He expanded into the auto parts business, becoming the proprietor of MC Millan Gas Station, which includes 4 businesses.
He leaves behind four children: Marvelin, Marcus, Roland and Burton.
The Mc Millan businesses have been closed today as a mark of respect for the late Mc Millan James Jno Baptiste.
