Relief on the Way for Families and Businesses Affected by Severe Weather — PM Skerrit

Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit has assured families and business owners impacted by Sunday’s trough system that relief support will be provided as recovery efforts get underway.

Heavy rainfall from the system caused widespread disruption across the East and Northeast, triggering landslides, damaging homes and cutting off vehicular access to several communities.

Cleanup operations began almost immediately, with crews working late into the night to clear landslides in areas including Castle Bruce, Marigot and parts of the Kalinago Territory.

Prime Minister Skerrit says he has spoken to regional and international partners on the impact of the trough system.
