Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Labour, Gloria Joseph, says the government has implemented measures to address employee concerns regarding unfair pay under the new minimum wage structure.
Joseph emphasised that employees have the right to challenge Dominican employers who do not comply with the new minimum wage requirements, which took effect in December 2025.
