A project valued at over 2 million dollars aimed at improving the management of grey and black water in the community of Soufriere was launched on Wednesday.
The new water treatment facility will be constructed in Sauce, Soufriere, and will include the building of small in-stream systems and the installation of septic tanks.
Minister for the Environment Cozier Frederick says the intervention is critical for the community of Soufriere.

Meantime, Parliamentary Representative for the Soufriere Constituency Denise Charles Pemberton says the project will also protect the marine space in Soufriere.

The initiative was implemented under the OECS BioSPACE Project, funded by the European Union.
