Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, Reginald Severin, has confirmed that there is no mining operation at Deux Branches.

A small group has been protesting the activity there, forcing the introduction of a stop order.

However, Mr Severin says contractors at DEUX BRANCHE have paid attention to environmental issues.

Mr. Severin says the works at DEUX BRANCHES  have been transparent  and Government is committed  to address issues of concern.
