OECS Director General states that the OECS Root Crop symposium held in Dominica last week was timely

Director General of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States, OECS, Dr Didacus Jules, has stated that the OECS Root Crop symposium held in Dominica last week was timely.

Dr Jules said the symposium brought to the fore the importance of root crops for food security and nutrition.

He added that there are other factors which make it necessary for the Islands to look towards root crops more seriously.
