The National Medical Laboratory has successfully migrated its Laboratory Information Service (LIS) to a new high-capacity server.

Laboratory Superintendent Eric Carbon says the server migration and software version update represent a major investment in the digital infrastructure that supports laboratory testing, disease surveillance and clinical decision-making across the country’s healthcare system.

Carbon said the upgrade replaces an ageing server that has reached its operational limits and provides the National Laboratory with the capacity needed to meet growing demands.
