Dominica has taken a major step forward in its fight against non-communicable diseases (NCDs) following Cabinet’s approval of a new NCD Policy and Action Plan.
Coordinator of the Health Promotion Unit, Mignon Rolle-Shillingford, says the policy will guide the Ministry of Health’s programs and initiatives to effectively combat NCDs across the island.

Meantime, the Health Promotion Unit will host a Caribbean Wellness Day Stakeholder Planning and Networking Meeting tomorrow ahead of the observance of Caribbean Wellness Month 2026.
