Long-serving member of the Roseau city council, Lucy-Belle Matthew, will be the new Mayor for Roseau.
She was elected Mayor –elect unanimously when members of the new Council met on Monday.
The Mayor-elect, who replaces Sandra Irmine Royer, says she is grateful for the level of support from the council and the general public, as they prepare to put plans in place to deliver for residents of the city.

She has served the council for 27 years
The Mayor-elect says cooperation with the Parliamentary Representative will be key in the interest of Roseau.

Meantime, five candidates have been nominated to join the elected members on the Roseau city council.
The inaugural meeting of the Roseau city council is set for monday april 2O at Goodwill parish hall from 4.30 in the afternoon.
