President of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Her Excellency Sylvanie Burton, DAH, will to represent the island at the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 81) taking place in New York from 18 to 28 September, where world leaders will gather to consider the major challenges confronting the international community.
President Burton will depart Dominica on Saturday, September 19, and is scheduled to address the General Assembly on Tuesday, September 22. She will return to the state on Thursday, September 24.
The General Debate will be held under the theme, “Restoring Trust, Managing Transformation: A United Nations That Delivers for All.”
