Leader of the United Workers Party (UWP) Dr. Thomson Fontaine has responded to a decision by opposition Senator Delbert Paris to challenge for the leadership of the Party next month.
Mr. Paris who became an opposition Senator in Parliament in 2022, announced last week he will contest for the leadership of the party at the next delegates conference in Castle Bruce on December 15.
Dr. Fontaine says Mr. Paris has exercised his democratic right.
Dr. Fontaine added his experience having worked with the International Monetary Fund and other institutions abroad has prepared him for the task ahead.
