Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit has reaffirmed his government’s commitment to the Cuban medical cooperation programme, warning that any move away from the arrangement would be disastrous for Dominica’s healthcare system.

The Prime Minister made the remarks during a sit-down interview with journalists last night at the Oasis Hotel, as regional governments continue to face mounting pressure from the United States to reconsider their participation in Cuba’s overseas medical programme.
