A Mahaut woman has been fined 37, OOO dollars after she pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm, which was found at her home in Mahaut.
Mara Detouche was also charged with possession of two magazines and 5O rounds of ammunition, which were found in a barrel on Woodbridge Bay Port this week.
She is required to pay the fine in instalments starting next week and completing the payment by November 3O 2O26 or she could face up to 9 years in jail.
All charges against the second woman in the matter were dropped.
