Education Minister Octavia Alfred says Dominica’s literacy rate is ranked at 94 percent.

Her comments came this morning, as the Adult Education Division launched the LOCAL ENGAGEMENT AND ACTION FUND, LEAF skills training program for over 2OO young people.

Meanwhile, the Education Minister says the LEAF skills program, supported by the Canadian Government, will provide education to over 200 Dominicans in various fields such as food preparation, masonry, garment production, carpentry, electrical installation, massage therapy, and auto mechanics.
