Dominica’s vibrant home-grown music will take center stage Tuesday, February 10th, 2026, as DBS Radio marks the 10th annual Bouyon Day with a full day of special programming dedicated to the genre.
Programme Director at DBS Radio, Ivona Jno Baptiste-Lugay, emphasized the broadcaster’s commitment to celebrating and promoting Dominica’s cultural heritage, noting that initiatives like Bouyon Day play a key role in recognizing the island’s unique musical identity.
Meanwhile, Monelle Alexis, Communications Specialist at the Discover Dominica Authority, announced that a major cultural celebration will be held on Hanover Street in Roseau.
The event will feature live performances by top bouyon artists and serve as a community gathering to honor the music and its creators.
