Dominica is reintroducing a Highway maintenance levy.
The levy, which took effect on August 2, 2022, allows private vehicle owners to pay $100 annually, and other vehicles to pay more based on their weight.
The bill was passed in Parliament last night.

He says the heaviest vehicles will pay a maximum 5OO dollars annually.

Minister for Tourism Denise Charles Pemberton is optimistic private vehicle owners will cooperate and pay the 1OO dollar Highway Maintenance levy annually.
