The United States and Dominica entered into an agreement to facilitate the transfer of third-country refugees to Dominica.

Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit says the United States and the Commonwealth of Dominica have entered into an agreement to facilitate the transfer of third-country refugees to Dominica.

He explained that the arrangement applies in cases where the US is unable to return those individuals to their country of birth or origin.

The Prime Minister made these comments at his first press conference for the New Year, 2026.
