The Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) Commission, through the Biodiversity Support Programme for ACP Coastal Environments (BioSPACE), funded by the European Union (EU) has officially handed over ice coolers to two fisher groups in Dominica.

This initiative is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the fisheries sector and enhance the livelihoods of coastal communities.

OECS Representative Norma Cherry Fevrier says the provision of ice coolers represents a practical intervention under the BioSPACE Project, aimed at improving post-harvest handling of fish.
