The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Blue and Green Economy is urging Dominicans to avoid using or gathering in certain areas of Woodford Hill during the upcoming holiday.
This measure is necessary as part of ongoing efforts to contain the spread of lethal yellowing disease, which poses a serious threat to Dominica’s coconut sector.
Representative of the Plant Protection and Quarantine Department, Lynessa Ferreria, while speaking on the Ministry of Environment program on DBS Radio on Thursday, echoed the call, emphasising the spread of this disease.
