Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit has stated that Dominica is in a position to supply water to St. Lucia and, by extension, the Caribbean region.
Saint Lucia’s Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre announced earlier this month that his government plans to import water from Dominica to address a severe shortage caused by prolonged dry conditions.
During a press conference this morning, Mr. Skerrit emphasized the need for CARICOM and the OECS to discuss water security for the region.
