Morning Star Preschool Honors DBS Radio on World Radio Day With an Antique Radio Set

The contribution of national broadcaster DBS Radio to national development has been formally recognized by a local preschool.
The L’Etoile Du Martin Preschool, also known as Morning Star Preschool, presented an antique radio set to DBS Manager Cecil Joseph in observance of World Radio Day today.
Principal and Founder of the preschool, Georgette Deravariere, said the gesture was meant to highlight the enduring role of radio in education, communication and nation-building.
DBS Manager Cecil Joseph described the presentation as a meaningful and symbolic act.
He said the antique radio represents the rich history of broadcasting in Dominica and the longstanding relationship between the station and the wider community.
