National Security Minister Rayburn Blackmoore says more stringent measures are to be implemented to screen License holders of firearms.
Blackmoore acknowledges that the issue of gun crime in Dominica does not stem only from illegal firearm holders but also from the selling of firearms by license firearms holders.
The minister says the ministry will seek support from IMPACS CARICOM to address this issue.

Blackmoore says the establishment of a licensing authority is on top of the agenda for the Ministry.
