Government to Present VAT Amendment in Parliament to Provide Relief for Householders

Finance Minister Dr. Irving McIntyre says Government will present an amendment to the Value Added Tax Act in Parliament tomorrow, aimed at bringing relief to householders.

Dr. McIntyre noted that the proposed amendment is one of the key highlights on Tuesday’s parliamentary agenda.

In addition to the VAT measure, Parliament is also expected to debate supplementary estimates.

He said the Government remains focused on implementing policies that ease financial pressures on citizens while strengthening the country’s fiscal framework.
