Executive Director of the Independent Regulatory Commission IRC Justinn Kase has announced that several measures have been implemented to mitigate the impact of the revised electricity tariff rates for DOMLEC on local consumers.
The commission has granted conditional approval for the application of a 4 percent increase in electricity tariff rates for DOMLEC, effective April 7.
Kase emphasised that the new tariff structure could provide significant benefits to local consumers.

Meantime, IRC Executive Officer Hermina Augustine says the IRC will undertake a series of public consultations as part of the final stages of the rate review process.
