Former Parliamentary Representative for the Cottage Constituency, Reginald Austrie, says events tourism is a critical driver for increasing visitor arrivals in Dominica.

Austrie, who is the consultant to Dominica’s Premier Boating event, Poker Run, says this year’s edition will expand from a one-day event into a two-day experience.

He told the Talking Tourism programme on DBS RADIO this morning that the Poker Run event has long-term potential to scale up into a week-long event.
