DOMLEC welcomes the approval of the four percent increase in electricity tariff rates

The Dominica Electricity Services Company Limited DOMLEC has welcomed the approval of the four percent increase in electricity tariff rates.
Speaking on DOMLEC’S Power talk program this morning, Acting Accountant at DOMLEC Quentin Gregoire, says this increase will not result in higher bills for customers.
Following the tariff rate review, regulators determined that it was appropriate for DOMLEC to receive a four percent increase.

Gregoire says the generation of geothermal energy, along with the new tariff design, will provide benefits to DOMLEC.
