Dominica has been ranked number one among the 10 countries most affected by climate change over the past three decades, according to new data covering the period 1995 to 2024.
The ranking was highlighted at a climate change conference in Germany, where Laura Cheer-Fer Schäfer, Head of International Climate Policy at Germanwatch, pointed to Dominica’s exceptionally high economic losses relative to its Gross Domestic Product (GDP) as the primary reason for the island topping the list.
Laila Langford reports from the climate change conference in Germany.
