Dominica Employers Federation expresses concerns over Dominica’s minimum wage rate increase
This content originally appeared on DBC Radio.
Executive Director of the Dominica Employers Federation Achille Joseph has expressed concerns over the rate increase under the new minimum wage structure that came into effect on December 1.
Joseph considers the new rates imposed on the private sector to be unfair when compared to the agreed salary increases for public workers following negotiations with the government this year.
Meantime, Joseph says some categories within the new minimum wage structure include positions that should be represented by trade unions.
