“De Reverend” and “Rinser Pop” Capture 2026 Junior Calypso and Bouyon Monarch Crowns

Nine-year-old Malik Ferrol, known on stage as “De Reverend” of the Paix Bouche Primary School, has been crowned the 2026 Junior Calypso Monarch with his song “Right Up.”
Ferrol delivered a standout performance on Friday to dethrone the reigning Junior Monarch, Faith “Queen Melody” St. Ville.
Bijou Nicholas, stage name “Mighty Jewel” of Convent High School, placed 1st runner-up, while Faith St. Ville (“Queen Melody”) of the Dominica Grammar School secured the position of second runner-up.
In the Bouyon segment, nine-year-old Diamanti Warrington of the St. Luke’s Primary School, performing as “Rinser Pop,” captured the judge’s attention with his song “Free Up” to be crowned the 2026 Junior Bouyon Monarch.
Kirlisa Prince, performing as “Kim Possible” of the Convent High School, finished as first runner-up, while Josiah Fagan, “King Ziah”, of the Goodwill Secondary School claimed second runner-up.
