A medical doctor to appear in court today after being detained for a shooting incident

A medical doctor has been detained by police and is expected to appear in court this morning.

The medical doctor has been detained over a shooting incident which involves a woman. 

The incident is alleged to have taken place on Friday, 2nd January 2026.

The woman is a patient at the Dominica China Friendship Hospital.
