The Ministry of Education awards 124 scholarships to top students of the 2026 Grade Six national assessment

The Ministry of Education has announced that 124 scholarships will be awarded to top students of the grade six national assessment for 2O26.
However, the results of the exams will no longer be announced to the public in an effort to prevent competition among schools.
Education Minister Octavia Alfred told a press conference this morning that students performed satisfactorily this year.

Primary school principals told DBS news they are in favour of the decision to no longer announce the results to the public
Primary school principals Clara Lee Joseph of Goodwill primary , Anita Williams of Newtown , Brinette Moreau of St Martin primary , and Evette Stoute of Petit Savanne primary.
