Bouyon Artist Coleridge ‘Mr Ridge’ Bell has recommended the introduction of a tax treaty to take Dominica’s bouyon genre to new levels.
Mr Bell told the Government pre-budget consultation that some Caribbean Islands are using their tax treaty, which allows their artists to benefit financially.

Meantime, Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit says a double taxation treaty exists between the US and Dominica; however, bouyon artists have some challenges since they don’t pay taxes at home.
