Consumers of electricity in Dominica are expected to enjoy a reduction in rates, with the commissioning of geothermal energy set for April monthend.

Minister for Energy Dr Vince Henderson made the announcement during a site visit to the 1O-kilowatt geothermal energy plant in Laudat this morning.

Dr Henderson says the construction of a transmission line for electricity is an achievement for Dominica.
