Dominica has launched a new initiative to take agriculture to primary schools on the Island.
The Helping our Primary School, HOOPS program got underway at Goodwill Primary School in which the Ministry of Agriculture will assist the schools with school gardens and other programs.
Minister for Agriculture Roland Royer who represented Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit at this morning’s ceremony, said agriculture is one of the pillars of Dominica’s future.

Meantime, Soufriere Primary and Saint Mary’s Academy were the top schools in the Ministry of Agriculture LOGO competition.
