Minister for Energy Dr Vince Henderson says Dominica’s geothermal energy program made a historic breakthrough last week, with the turning on of one of the plants two units.

Dr Henderson says the exercise was part of the ongoing testing of the plant.

The new geothermal plant is expected to be commissioned later this month or early in April.
