Leader of the Opposition Jesmar Paul Victor says partisan politics had no part to play in her new appointment.
Parliamentary Representative for Marigot Anthony Charles supported Mrs Victor before she got the green light by President of Dominica to be sworn in as opposition leader on Monday.
Mrs Victor resigned as opposition leader in June 2O24 and the position remained vacant, since there were disagreements between Jesmar Paul Victor and Mr Charles, the only other elected member of the opposition.
The opposition leader says her appointment will advance the integrity of the Parliament of Dominica.
