Fire Chief Letang Reflects on 2025 as a Year of Transition and Resilience for Fire Service

Fire Chief Wayne Letang has described 2025 as a year of transition, progress, and resilience for the Dominica Fire and Ambulance Services.

Speaking with DBS News, Chief Letang said the year brought “mixed fortunes” for the department, as it navigated leadership changes, operational challenges, and several notable achievements.

Despite these hurdles, he noted that the fire service remained focused on strengthening its operations and serving the public effectively.

Chief Letang commended the dedication and commitment of fire officers throughout the year, highlighting their ability to maintain service delivery under difficult circumstances.
