Chief Executive Officer of the International Airport Development Company, Samuel Johnson says the government will embark on mitigation measures at the quarry site at Deux branches in Concord.
The quarrying activities at Deux Branches are for the international airport development, however some have called for a halt to the quarrying to address the environmental and social harm to the Pagua river.
Mr. Johnson says a meeting was held this week with various stakeholders to find the best solution for the area.
