Dominica Farmers Receive Nearly $1M in Irrigation and Beekeeping Equipment

Ninety-four farmers across Dominica received a significant boost on Wednesday with the distribution of irrigation equipment and beekeeping tools valued at $944,964.
The handover included 100 one-thousand-gallon water tanks worth $272,000, irrigation lines valued at $350,000, and 39 water pumps totaling $88,964.
Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries, Blue and Green Economy, Roland Royer says this irrigation support package will directly benefit 84 farmers, strengthening their access to reliable water infrastructure for agricultural production.
In addition, 10 farmers received specialized beekeeping equipment valued at $234,000. The package comprises wax melters, hive boxes, extractors, filter baskets, and other essential tools aimed at enhancing honey production across the island.
