Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit says key stakeholders and ministries involved in the International Airport Development Project will meet on Monday to discuss ways to address concerns raised by residents of Deux Branches.
Residents have expressed concerns about the environmental impacts of the mining activities occurring in Deux Branches as part of the airport development.
On Thursday, Prime Minister Skerrit conducted a tour of the area.

Meantime, Parliamentary Representative of the Marigot Constituency Anthony Charles welcomed the government’s decision to pause mining and meet with stakeholders to discuss the issue.
