9 individuals granted bail on a charge of unlawful assembly following the March 19 protest action



Former Parliamentary Representative for the Roseau North Constituency Daniel Lugay along with chairman of the Dominica Freedom Party and Chairperson of the Electoral Reform Coalition Johnson Boston are among nine individuals granted bail on a charge of unlawful assembly.
A total of 13 people have been arrested and charged so far in connection with a protest held on March 19 near the Parliament building over three Electoral Reform Bills that were passed.

Meanwhile, Magistrate Michael Laudat granted bail to Johnson Boston and three others in the sum of $30,000 dollars, with eight conditions which include a prohibition on attending any public gathering, demonstration or protest actions during the duration of the matter.
