Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit highlights the importance of the Cuban medical mission to Dominica’s health care system

Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit says the Republic of Cuba’s medical mission is crucial to the survival of Dominica’s health care system.

This comes in response to a warning by the United States to revoke visas of officials who support alleged “labor exploitation” by participating in Cuban overseas medical missions.

Mr. Skerrit told a press conference this morning, the Cuban medical mission has been instrumental to Dominica and the Caribbean region.

Mr. Skerrit believes this matter should open the doors for further discussion into health care within the Caribbean.
