Former Director of Public Prosecutions Evelina Baptiste has died.

She passed early Saturday morning at the Dominica /China Friendship Hospital with heart-related problems.

Baptiste was in discomfort shortly after attending a church ceremony on Friday to mark the start of the new law year.

Parliamentary Representative for Roseau South, Chekira Lockhart Hypolete, a family member says Miss Baptiste’s passing is a great loss to the family and Dominica.
