The United Workers Party reelects Dr. Thompson Fontaine as party leader

The United Workers Party has reelected Dr. Thompson Fontaine as Party leader.

He defeated Senator Delbert Paris 125 votes to 65 at the Delegates Conference in Castle Bruce on Sunday.

Senator Paris was elected deputy leader winning over Ronald Charles 97 votes to 82.

Former leader Lennox Linton was retained as president defeating Isaac Baptiste 124 votes to 58.

Ronald Charles won over Hector John 93-82 to become the new vice president.

Nicholas George was retained as Secretary, Dianne Victor as Assistant Secretary. Kent Joseph is Treasurer and Ezekiel Bazil Assistant Treasurer.

Sherlyn Sabroache took over as new Public Relations Officer defeating Steve Benjamin and Loftus Durand.

Trustees are Edison James, Ernie Jno Finn and Norris Prevost.

International secretary is Dr. Mc Donald Thomas. 

Party leader Dr. Thompson Fontaine said he is upbeat about the future of the party.
