42,500 dollars presented to 15 charitable organisations as part of the President’s Charities Foundation annual cheque donation.

The President’s Charities Foundation has disbursed an amount of 42,500 dollars to 15 charitable organisations as part of its annual cheque donations to charitable organisations across Dominica.

The cheques were presented to the organisations during a ceremony this morning at the State House Conference Centre.

Addressing the ceremony, President of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Her Excellency Slyvanie Burton, says these organisations continue to make a meaningful impact on the less fortunate and vulnerable individuals in the Dominican Society.

Among the 15 charitable organisations which received donations this morning were the Alpha Centre and Community Hostel Inc, formally known as the Grotto Home for the Homeless.
