Senior Programs Officer in the Ministry of Education and former Wesley High School teacher and accomplished trainer Meritta Hyacinth is Dominica’s new Chief Youth Development Officer.
Hyacinth, who served as the 2024 national president of JCI West-Indies and was recently named a 2025 JCI ADC commissioner, is a skilled trainer and historian with a proven record in youth leadership and development.
She has worked at both national and regional levels, focusing on creating opportunities for young people to excel.
In her new role she will oversee programs aimed at advancing youth development, including skills training.
Hyacinth replaces John Roach who retired in 2024.
