National Epidemiologist Dr. Shalauddin Ahmed has warned that leptospirosis must be taken seriously.
His statement came as one man died of the illness last month, while there are currently two confirmed cases.
Dr. Ahmed says anyone experiencing symptoms of leptospirosis should seek medical attention urgently.
